Day 26

The new dogs are doing ok, we hoped they would get along well but the little one, Kit Kat, is biting the bigger one, Jake. Jake tolerated it for a while then got fed up. Kit Kat needs supervised play time to learn some manners when they are done with quarantine. Jake is a wonderful dog and was well loved and taught before his owner died. Kit Kat has not learned much about being a pet but she is gentle (if timid) and willing to learn. They are both housetrained. The horses are well and getting along. And riding went well yesterday, even though Mara had to have an energy attack. I do not know why, she was doing well. Treating her rider well. Then she started getting nervous and high headed so our riding lesson turned into an introduction on groundwork. I made a nasty dinner, it could have been good, but the homemade saurkraut I used was much saltier than it should have been. Oh well, I made some yummy orange pie for company today.
