Yesterday I got to go get organic produce and cooked kale and beet greens. (I will be cooking the beets soon, but I have to find out how). All the chores got done, although I finished late. I tried to introduce Mara and Shauna to a new herd, It didn't go well, but the kids learned how to stay safe and treat wounds. Nothing deep, but they looked bad. Animal control had to come check out our newest horse. Turns out, there was an open case on her and they were looking for her. The officer is a terrific woman (never thought I'd say that about an animal control officer) and I look forward to working with her in the future. Kids got to ride again tonight and the obstacle course is almost complete.
Kale chips
Cooked Kale and beet greens with onion, celery, bacon. Cooked in olive oil, vegi broth, pickle juice. This was dinner with leftover chicken and sweet potatos
